                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Western media reported that 2,000 people were killed but local news reports said that it was at least 100 whilst the Ministry of Defence said that it was no more than 150 people.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    The massacre was a an embarresment because the site was the headquarters for the Multinational Joint Task Force  which was set up to deal with Boko Harem.
