Essentially the insurgents are holding Yampil and the Ukranian Army attack with tanks, mechanised units, and air power. I have added infantry as well. The insurgents appear to retreat after a day.
Currently I think it's totally in the favour of the Ukrainian army. I think I will try to sort out some Air Defence so the Insurgents have a chance at downing an Su-25 but as I play it at the moment they lose almost from turn one, maybe the air power is too much?
The most amazing thing about this, unless im mistaken, is that there are no bridges over the river. The best there is seems to be a ferry over at Yampil. That might explain the prescence of the BMD-1's which I assume are amphibious and so I have included amphibious mechanised units, and they can cross rivers.
The scenario looks like about 20 tanks plus 30 other armoured vehicles, the BMD-1's attacked the town of Yampil where 4,000 separatists were located. On top of that there were also aircraft with one Su-25 bomber being shot down. I have included 3 parachute regiments which is odd. I have assumed they attacked with infantry but the Ukrainian Army according to Wikipedia doesnt have infantry, only parachute regiments.
