FRELIMO start raids into Mozambique against Portugese targets.

They start off with attacks into the Cabo Delgado area and then later begin operations in Niassa as well as other more central areas in Mozambique.

The FRELIMO forces were fast moving and could come from across the Tanzananian border, carry out their attacks and then vanish into the bush. They levraged monsoon time as the Portugese could not use their air superiority to track them.
