Taliban assault on the headquarters of the Afghan National Army headquarters of the 209 Corps at Camp Shaheen on 21 April 2017.
10 Taliban enter Camp Shaheen posing as Afghan National Army soldiers with wounded. It was said that some of the Taliban insurgents had been in the Afghan National Army and knew the layout of the base. Once in the base the Taliban insurgents opened fire and two insurgents detonated suicide vests.
It took five hours for the Afghan National Army to secure the base and 140 soldiers were killed and 160 were wounded.
At the time of the attack the many of the soldiers were at prayer and were unarmed which is represented by the 0 0 3 strength units.
