Ginda Engagement - 1988 (Eritrean War of Independence).

Eritrean Peoples Liberation Front attack an Ethiopian military column near Ginda over the weekend of 16-17 April 1988.

They claim to have killed 300 government troops in the battle.

Ginda was on the main road from Asmara to the Red Sea port of Masawa.

Essentially the Ethiopians need to move their column along the road from the Asmara road point to the Masawa road point going through Ginda. The EPLF forces are somewhere along the road.
