Manbij - 2016 (Syrian Civil War).

I have shifted the map a little to the East in order to get the Euphrates in which is a major geographical feature here, which has resulted in a little of the action in the West being missed out, but its not that critical to the overall picture. The Kurds are essentially driving from the East over the Euphrates which at this point only has one bridge. Most of the river is morelike a lake and it would all be lake excet I dont think I can put a bridge or road over the lake and so where it is slightly narrower I have used regular river features.

Most reports seem to say that its the SDF carrying out this action whilst it appears that its the Kurds (YPG) who are acting under a SDF 'brand' as Southfront puts it.

Alarabiya says that the SDF are being helped by scores of US special forces so I have included a powerful US special forces comany.
