The battle is infamous for the 507th Maintenance Company taking a wrong turn and instead of going along the road to Objective Clay and over the bridge they went right and drove straight into Nasiriyah where they were ambushed by Iraqi units.
Scenario is very detailed in some regards, but there is no detailed information on where the units were, just some of the main engagements. As such I have not put anything in Objective Firebird as there are no main accounts for action in those locations but had put some units in Objective Clay and Liberty (where there were 6 tanks), as it would make sense that the Iraqi's defended the bridge over the Euphrates there.
After taking Objective Firebird (Tallil Airfield), the US used it as a forward-operations base and started to land cargo planes with supplys for the advance on Baghdad. To reflect that I have added some extra mechanised infantry units that appear there on turn 5.
Numerically it doesn't look like a walk over for the US forces and so I guess they relied a lot on air power. Again, its a system of hex based calculations that make the city objectives maybe tougher or more unrealistics by virtue of their defensive multiples etc.
I have also left the fourth hex in Nasiriyah empty so that the 507th Maintenance Company can wander in. Im sure that it wasn't empty and as such is another teething issue with modelling with hexes like this. Futher, as a supply unit (maintenance company) I think the maths again will result in a defender eliminated. I could give them a 0 1 6 score, but I doubt that would make any difference when surrounded by three battalions of Iraqi units.
