1965
In Operation Piranha the Viet cong have been spotted in the Batangan Peninsula.
A joint sea and air operation is carried out to assault their positions with a blocking force.
The US Marines 1st Battalion 7th Regiment land at White Beach. The 3rd Battalion 3rd Regiment Marines are held in reserve, soyou shouldn't use them unless you have to.
The other forces are air lifted to the vaarious landing zones, Oak, Birch and Pine.
The operation was marginally successful, however, the Viet Cong had already started withdrawing as the US forces were building up.
178 Viet Cong were killed whilst a toal of 7 US/ARVN forces were killed.
Just a small note, but the map is probably a little over sized and could have been zoomed in a little as nothing happens south of the Tra Khuc River or West of the landing zones.
