Afghan Security Forces recapture Dehrawod district in southern Uruzgan province from the Taliban.
The Taiban previously captured the area in their November offensive which caused Afghan security forces to retreat to a nearby army base in Uruzgan.
The capture of Dehrawod was part of the Taliban’s large scale November offensive in southern Kandahar, Helmand and Uruzgan provinces over the previous two months.
It was the first to fall to the Taliban after the US and Taliban signed a peace agreement earlier in February 2020.
There is an additional hidden Taliban unit on the map to add an element of uncertainty.
