In this scenario the Syrian Arab Army recapture Suran and Tal Bizam from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.
Nothing particularly noteable about this engagement other than the video of the action that accompanied the Southfront article. The video struck me as quite enlightening really as Suran otherwise looks so peaceful. Other than the billowing plumes of smoke it looks like a peaceful and idylic place to live. I was also taken back a little by the use of rockets, artillery and air power which presumably is all you need. However, looking at the video, the militants could have been anywhere. I'm sure they had some intelligence and forward observation but still, theres a lot of built area to choose from. I wonder if house insurance covers rocket barrages? Probably not. Maybe if they called it the Syrian Emergency they could claim? Instead of the Syrian War?
The video had a link to the Syrian army website but the button for the English langauge doesnt seem to work.
