South Sudan shells villages across the Yei River State and engages in fighting with groups under the South Sudan National Democratic Alliance including the National Salvation Front.
The conflict results in thousands of refugees fleeing to the Congo border towards Ingbokolo.
The objective in this scenario is for the governemnt forces to go round and bombard the villages with artillery and to raise them. The Haaretz report states that witnesses have seen armed men murdering and raping civilians and looting the villages. When the South Sudanes army troops enter each village they will trigger refugees which will then head to the refugee waypoints seen across the border in the Democratic Republic of the Congo from where they will then head to Ingbokolo which reports state they are doing. Ingbokolo is further south off the map.
The South Sudan News Agency has reported that the Sudanese government has ordered its army to attack National Salvation Front forces because they have refused to support the September 2018 peace agreement.
South Sudan National Democratic Alliance reported that the towns of Morobo, Lojulo, and KajoKeji were attacked on 31 January 2019.
